Final Update :: 1.12.07

Well, It was fun working on this game and the website but the results of the Slamdance festival and the Independent Games Festival are in, and we didn't place in either.

It's no big deal though. I actually didn't expect us to place because when it comes down to it, this is a tank game with a limited amount of gameplay.

I would like to take a second to congratulate the other DigiPen teams that did place in the competitions

Gelatin Joe

  • IGF Student Showcase Finalist

Base Invaders

  • Slamdance Guerrilla Gamemaker Competition Finalists
  • IGF Student Showcase Finalist

Toblo

  • Slamdance Guerrilla Gamemaker Competition Finalists (they recently pulled from the competition in protest of Super Columbine Massacre RPG being pulled).
  • IGF Student Showcase Finalist
  • IGF Main Competition Finalist, Design Innovation Award

Way to go guys, way to represent the 'Pen.

Words and stuff :: 8.31.06

So I've been working on this site non-stop for almost three days. I'm pretty burnt out. On the bright side, I think it's coming along pretty well and I think I'll have it done in another day or so.

Every section is more filled out but I don't think any of them are complete. I'm particually proud of the Dev section because it makes me happy to see how far we've actually come.

Third Time's A Charm :: 8.30.06

Welcome to the third iteration of the Kannonwagens' site! I looked at the last version and I wasn't digging it because it didn't feel enough like the game itself. That is the main idea behind the new site. I hope everyone likes the cartoony look and the gameplay banners.

I wanted to make sure the site is upto par because we are submitting the game to the Slamdance Guerilla Gamemaker Competition as well as the Independent Game Festival this week.

Happenings :: 6.22.06

First of all, congratulations to Grinding Elephants for their game, Toblo. They recently won the Northwest Games Festival grand prize.

In other news, the download section has been updated to reflect the game being available at fileplanet. Hopefully this will lead to a little more exposure.

Roman has dropped off the radar, so I'm still waiting for his picture to update the team section.

Das Update :: 6.3.06

The about section is finished and the download section is nearing completion. I'm still waiting to hear back from fileplanet about getting the game install hosted.

I've just heard that our game does NOT create the Jukebox folder on installation. This is a big bummer. If you want to use the Juke box feature simply go to the Kannonwagens/Resource folder and create a new folder called "Jukebox". Then you can simply add in mp3s that you want to listen to.

UPDATE: Site is basically done now. I'm still waiting for Roman to get me a picture for the team page. I will update the site as needed when we submit the game to IGF or Slamdance.
